Many of us grew up being told things like we were “too sensitive,” or “not trying hard enough,” only to discover later in life that our wiring is just different—not "wrong".
I’m Tonya—Your Neurodivergent Yoga Guide—I live with:
• ADHD (inattentive type & time blindness)
• High sensory sensitivity (light, sound, texture, energies)
• Dyscalculia & directional dyslexia (numbers and left/right confusion)
• OCD loops (especially around hand-washing)
• Persistent anxiety and depression
For too long I believed these were flaws to hide. Now I know they’re strengths we can build on—and I’m here to help you do the same.
My yoga journey wasn’t born in a studio; it began in life’s ordinary moments. One small step at a time—pausing for a breath, stretching in my chair, tuning into what my body was telling me—I wove yoga’s core principles into every day.
That’s exactly how I share yoga with you:
• Start Where You Are: No demands for perfect form or hours of free time.
• Offer the Guidance I Needed: The kind of support I wish someone had given me long ago.
• Build Your Personal Framework: A flexible practice that meets your brain and body from the very first step.
This space is about developing a yoga life that fits you. Yoga is a full body, mind, heart, and spiritual framework that gives us a life-giving practice that flexes with our differences, amplifies our strengths, and brings more ease, clarity and confidence into every day.
I am based on the ancestral land of the Suquamish People, the traditional stewards of the land now known as Kitsap County, Washington.
I honor the Suquamish Tribe — the People of the Clear Salt Water — and offer deep respect for their enduring connection to the land, waters, and traditions.
May this work support a return to relationship with the Earth, with each other, and with the wisdom that has always been here.
